Prize for the Best Doctoral Thesis on a Theme Related to Seville

The Prize for the Best Doctoral Thesis on a Theme Related to Seville was founded in 1983. Since 1987 the prize has included publication of the winning work –if the Foundation’s Board of Trustees deems it appropriate– in addition to its financial endowment, in order to maximise the social impact and dissemination of the prize. The publication of the work provides great personal satisfaction for the researcher, also offers a prestigious readership and recognition among the university community. Past winning works have covered a wide variety of subjects such as architecture, chemistry, literature, history, art history and urban planning, among others.
