The feast of Corpus Christi in Seville was one of the most important events in the city in 16th and 17th centuries. However, it was thought there existed neither drawings nor engravings showing these celebrations. In 1985, our Foundation published a facsimile edition of an unknown manuscript thus far which is kept in Biblioteca Nacional, that included the description of ornaments created by the neighbors of the parish of Salvador on the occasion of Corpus Christi day. The document addresses street decoration promoted by citizens themselves and contains drawings of every stand in Sierpes street and the surrounding area.
