Iconografía de Sevilla

Iconografía de Sevilla

Antonio Sancho Corbacho

Along with Temas sevillanos, Iconografía de Sevilla was the starting point for Abengoa’s publishing work in the 1970s. More than 200 illustrations selected by Antonio Sancho Corbacho, many of them unknown thus far, made up the volume, which is a chronological compilation of images of Seville between 16th and 19th centuries. All these drawings, engravings and paintings enrich the graphic documentation about Seville, helping better understand the evolution of the city, its past and appearance. The book also includes 19th century photographs and the plan of the city promoted by Pablo de Olavide in 1771. This volume was not only a milestone in Focus’ publishing activities, but also the seed for the series published by our Foundation some years later with the same title.
