La vida cotidiana en la pintura andaluza

La vida cotidiana en la pintura andaluza

Luis Quesada

From late Mannerism and 17th century Baroque, when masters such as Velázquez, Murillo and Zurbarán showed fruits, utensils or furnishing, daily life became a constant theme in Andalusian painting and in later artistic movements like Regionalism, Modernism or 20th century avant-garde art. Published by our Foundation, this book was the result of the studies on Andalusian genre painting carried out by the author for two decades. Luis Quesada compiles everyday life of people in the area, which is captured by different styles –Baroque expression, Costumbrism or Romantic sensitivity– through the years.
