The Torre del Oro, peak of Almohad architecture in Seville along with the Giralda, is the subject of this volume, made up of several papers that study the Sevillian monument from different points of view: historical sources, the tower applications, its location at the Arenal, its iconography, the role in literature and the architectural restoration. The publishing of this book completed a wider cultural project promoted by our Foundation, Museo Naval, Cajasol Foundation and Real Maestranza de Caballería de Sevilla, which made possible the recovery of the Torre del Oro through its historical and artistic features.
